Sprint 2 was reduced somewhat by attending Pocket Gamer Connects in London, 2 days of meetings and pitching. All in all a very intense affair which took a while to recover from and followed by a series of e-mails and further discussions – all positive fortunately.
I was able to demonstrate the game briefly a few times and noticed a couple of subtle issues that I’ve subsequently resolved, including correctly selecting an appropriate performance level (global illumination isn’t a requirement, for example) and providing a smoother loading experience. Fortunately there was nothing game breaking when demonstrating and people seemed impressed with the standard theme.
Once I did manage to find a moment I started the implementation of customised pieces and patterns, settling on a particular combination for both the attacker and defender.

The aim of the next sprint is to finish off the presentation mode by implementing some interesting effects to bring the game alive.
